- BBQ Sauce (optional)
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Ribs:
- Ensure the rack of ribs is clean and pat it dry.
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better seasoning penetration.
-
Prepare the Rub:
- In a bowl, combine 3 tablespoons Commander's Bloody Mary Spice Blend, 2 tablespoons Garlic Powder, 2 tablespoons Onion Powder, 1 tablespoon Smoked Meat Seasoning, and salt & pepper to taste.
-
Coat with Mustard:
- Brush the ribs with a thin layer of mustard. This will help the rub adhere to the meat.
-
Apply the Rub:
- Generously sprinkle the rub mixture over both sides of the ribs, ensuring an even coating.
-
Marinate:
- Place the seasoned ribs in the refrigerator and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes. For optimal flavor, you can let it marinate for up to 48 hours.
-
Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit (93 degrees Celsius).
-
Wrap in Aluminum Foil:
- Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil to create a sealed package. This helps to keep the moisture in during the slow cooking process.
-
Bake:
- Place the foil-wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 3-4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 170 degrees Fahrenheit (77 degrees Celsius).
-
Optional BBQ Sauce:
- If desired, during the last 15 minutes of baking, unwrap the ribs and brush on your favorite BBQ sauce. Ensure an even coating.
-
Re-wrap and Finish:
- After applying the BBQ sauce, rewrap the ribs in aluminum foil and continue baking for the remaining time.
-
Rest and Serve:
- Allow the ribs to rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve and enjoy your delicious Commander's Spiced Ribs!
