Spicy Valentine‘s Surf & Turf with Commander‘s Bloody Mary Butter
This romantic dish brings bold flavors to your Valentine‘s Day with a perfectly seared steak, succulent shrimp, and a rich, spiced butter infused with Commander‘s Bloody Mary Spice Blend. Serve with roasted potatoes and asparagus for a complete gourmet experience.
INGREDIENTS
For the Steak:
2 filet mignon or ribeye steaks
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Commander‘s Bloody Mary Spice Blend
Salt & pepper to taste
For the Shrimp: 8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp Commander’s Bloody Mary Spice Blend
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp lemon juice
For the Bloody Mary Butter:
4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1 tsp Commander‘s Bloody Mary Spice Blend
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp lemon zest
½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
1. Make the Bloody Mary Butter
In a small bowl, mix softened butter with Commander‘s Bloody Mary Spice Blend, smoked paprika, lemon zest, and Worcestershire sauce.
Wrap in plastic wrap, roll into a log, and refrigerate until firm (about 30 minutes).
2. Cook the Steak
Pat steaks dry and season with salt, pepper, and Commander‘s Bloody Mary Spice Blend.
Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side (or to desired doneness).
Remove from heat and let rest while preparing shrimp.
3. Sautè the Shrimp
In the same pan, melt butter and add garlic. Cook for 30 seconds.
Add shrimp, Commander‘s Bloody Mary Spice Blend, and lemon juice. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through.
4. Serve
